How does Jiangsu industry use blockchain to achieve digital transformation

Since 2017, the number of newly registered companies in the blockchain in Jiangsu Province has grown rapidly. In 2017, 57 new companies were added, 310 new companies were added in 2018, and 149 new companies were added in the first half of 2019, most of which are small and micro enterprises with huge development potential. In terms of patent applications, Jiangsu Province applied for a total of 328 blockchain-related patents in 2018, and a total of 202 applications in the first half of 2019. Research in the blockchain field is rapidly transforming into intellectual property rights.

At the same time, policy support for blockchains in various regions is also heating up. On May 16 this year, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology officially issued a reply to support the creation of the Jiangsu Blockchain Industry Development Cluster in Suzhou with Xiangcheng District as the main body. This is currently the only blockchain industry development cluster in Jiangsu Province.

While fully affirming the development achievements, we should be more aware of the problems that cannot be ignored in the current development of the blockchain industry in Jiangsu.In view of the key issues that hinder the acceleration of Jiangsu blockchain applications, the specific solutions can be focused on the following aspects:

Formulate a macro development plan to highlight local development characteristics. From a strategic perspective, formulate a blockchain industry application development plan covering the whole province, combining with the industrial advantages of Jiangsu Province, focusing on the development of blockchain application scenarios that fit its own industrial structure.

Build a talent training mechanism and strengthen the construction of reserve forces. Encourage qualified colleges and universities to accelerate the design of blockchain-related courses and cultivate talents in a professional manner. At the same time, universities and research institutes can also explore the establishment of research topics related to blockchain, actively promote the integration of production, education and research, and accelerate the transfer of research results to intellectual property rights.

Promote the development of demonstration areas, enhance the advantages of industrial agglomeration, and encourage more qualified cities in the province to support the establishment of blockchain industry development centers. Cultivate a group of companies with clear development prospects in the application of the blockchain industry, and plan ahead for the integrated development of blockchain technology and economic society.
